This is a long video clip but when we pass the bus going to the nudist camp, it’ll all be worth the wait.

I thought the Long Beach port had a lot of shipping containers until I saw Hong Kong’s port. I goes on forever. Maybe one of these containers will ultimately be part of my container house.

I guess you figured out there was no bus.

These Olympic mascots are actually huge lanterns. I love the fact they armed the last one with a Glock.

This was one of the many illuminated buildings gracing the Hong Kong skyline. As you can tell its framework is made up of a series of triangles. But it was by far the most unique use of lighting we saw that night.

Buildings Gone Wild: Hong Kong

Every night at about 8PM Hong Kong buildings on both sides of the bay begin going nuts. At first its just one or two. Then lasers kick in and all hell breaks loose. It reminded me of the UFOs at end of Close Encounters.

A soundtrack would have really added to the experience. I’ll mention that to them next time i’m there.

Lost in Translation intersection

This was the view from the tram station near Mt. Fuji. Check out the LOST-style tram station in the background. Very nice.

What’s NOT for Lunch?

For those that opted to get lunch on their own there was this guy was selling ‘meat’ on a stick and ‘corn in the cob’. I was too busy figuring out what king of meat it was to bother asking him how he got the corn in the cob.

Our tour guide to Mt. Fuji refused to let us enjoy the silence on the 90 minute ride to the mountain base. She took the time to read the entire lunch menu as well as describe the exact location of each item on the plate. Sure her voice is cute, but after hearing it non-stop for 8 hours it started to loose its luster.

Bullet Train Part III

This was a bullet train passing though the station before we left. They actually slowdown when they go by stations they’re not stopping at. Still a 125 mph train that isn’t barreling out of control is pretty impressive to watch.
